Part 1. Energy Civilization & Cultural Fusion

Chinese Masterclass & Traditional Cultural Immersion: Engage in hands-on Chinese cultural experiences, including calligraphy, paper-cutting, tea art, and martial arts, designed to showcase the profound charm of China’s cultural heritage.

Petroleum Heritage Exploration: Attend the lecture “Petroleum: A Treasure of Multifaceted Value” and visit iconic sites such as the Karamay Museum, Black Oil Mountain, and the Karamay River Water Diversion Project. Gain insights into China’ s urbanization, regional development, and cross-cultural exchanges on the ethos of petroleum industry.

Part 2. In-Depth Field Observations

Rural Revitalization in Action: Visit Xiaoguai Township Smart Ranch to participate in AI-powered agricultural livestreaming and experience innovative rural revitalization models, including “local employment opportunities near communities” and “cultural-tourism cooperatives”.

Part 3. Youth Empowerment & Global Voices

“My Xinjiang Diary” Vlog Challenge: Inspire participants to create original multi-media content (photography, handicrafts, short videos) documenting their 15-day journey. This initiative aims to break down narrative barriers in global perceptions of Xinjiang through authentic storytelling.

Undergraduate students, master's students, Ph.D. students and faculty members

Located in Karamay City, 240km to the west of Urumqi

Right beside the headquarter of Xinjiang Oilfield Company, CNPC An area of 4.8 km², with an ecological lake inside

Reminder：

Fees for round-trip travel, visa, and meals will be paid by the applicants.

For safety and convenience purposes, applicants are required to keep their mobile phones and Internet accessible.

The university will offer accommodation and arranged local transportation throughout the program.
